We created a record in exporting mangoes from India to the USA
A Heritage Orchard, Rooted in Tradition
Bharatam Vatika is not just a farm — it is a legacy of soil, seasons, and the timeless love for mangoes. Located in Saruwa, Bounsi (Banka), Bihar, the orchard rests in the shadow of Mandar Parvat, where myth, culture, and nature have coexisted for thousands of years.
Spread across 15 hectares, the land has been cared for by generations who believed that farming is not just cultivation, but worship. Over the years, more than 750 mango trees have been nurtured here, with Langda and Jardalu standing as the pride of Bihar. These are not just varieties — they are emotions for people who grew up waiting for summer to taste them again.
At Bharatam Vatika, every mango begins its journey on neutral soil (pH ~7) — a rare gift of nature that makes the fruit naturally sweeter, juicier, and richer in aroma. The orchard follows nature-led farming practices, where soil health, biodiversity, and harmony with the ecosystem are prioritized. The mangoes are grown without shortcuts — no rush, no forced ripening, just nature unfolding its flavor as it has for decades.
Organic Journey
Bharatam Vatika is currently in its 1st Year of Organic Conversion under NPOP organic standards. During this phase, the farm strictly avoids synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and growth regulators. Soil fertility is enhanced with natural inputs such as farmyard manure, organic composts, cow-based preparations, mulching, and biological pest management practices. The focus is on restoring natural soil life, long-term sustainability, and maintaining detailed records in accordance with organic certification requirements.
From Our Roots to the World
In June 2025, Bharatam Vatika took a historic step — exporting naturally ripened Langda mangoes to New Jersey, USA in collaboration with UpajGuru. This was not just a commercial shipment — it was Bihar’s taste traveling across oceans, connecting our farm to families thousands of miles away.
Bharatam Vatika is registered with government bodies including the Horticulture Department and APEDA. The orchard operates with basic yet efficient infrastructure — irrigation systems, a small pack-house shed, and essential farming equipment — but the true strength remains its trees, soil, and the farmers who care for them every day.
In the coming years, Bharatam Vatika will expand beyond fresh mangoes into value-added products such as mango pickle, aamchur, and organic grains. Yet, the soul of the farm will remain unchanged — pure, flavor-rich produce grown with patience and delivered from our land to your family with pride.
Founders & Legacy
– the hands that nurtured the land and built Bharatam Vatika
Bharatam Vatika was founded with a simple belief — farming is not just a livelihood, it is a responsibility passed down through generations.
The founders of Bharatam Vatika come from a family deeply rooted in agriculture in the Banka region of Bihar.
Bharatam Vatika was developed and nurtured through the joint efforts of Rajesh Rai and Shivbhandu Singh. Together, they transformed a once underutilized and near-barren land into a thriving mango orchard. Through years of hands-on farming, traditional knowledge, and continuous care, they laid the agricultural foundation of Bharatam Vatika. Even today, they remain closely involved in the day-to-day care of the orchard, ensuring that every tree grows in harmony with nature and the seasons.
Building upon this strong foundation, Bharatam Organic was envisioned and led by Nimesh Rai, with a clear and purposeful mission — to take Bharatam Vatika’s mangoes to families in their most natural and unadulterated form.
Bharatam Organic was founded with a simple purpose — to deliver chemical-free, naturally grown mangoes directly from our orchard to families, without compromise.
Through the organic conversion process under NPOP (1st Year of Organic Conversion), supported by structured systems and transparent practices, Bharatam Vatika’s produce was given a clear identity under the Bharatam Organic brand.
Together, Rajesh Rai, Shivbhanudu Singh, and Nimesh Rai represent the balance of land, care, and vision — turning a piece of land into a living orchard, and an orchard into a trusted organic brand.
This collective effort reached a proud milestone in June 2025, when naturally ripened Langda mangoes from Bharatam Vatika were exported to New Jersey, USA. Today, mangoes grown at Bharatam Vatika are enjoyed by families across India and the United States, carrying the authentic taste of Bihar’s soil beyond borders.
Through Bharatam Organic, we invite the world to experience the authentic taste of India’s national fruit — not as a product, but as a legacy.
